Careers in Photography can often provide opportunities for travel; however, many photographers gravitate back to their neighborhood. This is where their work really takes on meaning and concept. Taking pictures of what is appealing and ideal communicates a different feeling and meaning to shooting pictures of places and things you are familiar with and grew up seeing.
Think about who you are and where you are in life. What, where and who has helped bring you to this point?
Your assignment is to take pictures of places, people, and things that define you or has shaped who you are today. This is similar to the narrative you completed in studio 1, but think about your senses; how songs & smells can remind you of certain memories. Think of this as a multifaceted self-portrait that does not include a picture of you.

Childhood toys or attachments (blanket/stuffed animal)
Fears and comforts
Your place in your family (roles, age, generation)
